General

· Visitors must adhere with any health and safety procedures or instructions that are in place and notified to you by our staff or by notices.

· Children must be supervised at all times. Children under the age of 14 should be accompanied by an adult, unless specific arrangements have been made in advance.

· Dogs or other animals are not permitted (assistance dogs excepted).

· Towner reserves the right to refuse admission or attendance (situations could include aggressive and/or discriminatory behaviour, intoxication, threats to the safety of staff or customers, and non-compliance with Towner’s terms and conditions).

· Towner is an anti-racist and anti-discriminatory organisation and has a zero-tolerance approach to behaviour or language that is discriminatory in nature.

· Commercial photography is prohibited unless prior authorisation has been sought.

· By visiting Towner you accept that your image may be captured in photographs or video footage taken in our public spaces, which may subsequently be shared more widely. On occasions where filming/photography, organised by Towner, is taking place we will endeavour to have signage on display to advise visitors, and further details can be sought from our staff if necessary.

· Towner is not responsible if personal property is lost, damaged or stolen whilst at the venue. To check for lost property please visit the welcome desk in person or call 01323 434675 or email dutymanagers@townereastbourne.org.uk. Lost property will be held for 14 days and then disposed of (charity shop, recycling etc).

· Alcoholic drinks purchased elsewhere should not be brought into Towner.

· Food and Drink purchased elsewhere should not be consumed in Towner catering areas or in our event/cinema spaces, unless specifically agreed in advance.

· Smoking and Vaping is not permitted anywhere on Towner premises, including the café terrace.

Ticketed Events

Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded, except in the event of a cancellation of the event. In the event of a cancellation our liability is limited to a full refund of the tickets purchased. It is possible to pass tickets onto another person but the original name will remain on our system. Queries relating to tickets should be sent to dutymanagers@townereastbourne.org.uk

Concession rates apply to following:

· Those in receipt of any of the following benefits: Disability PIP/Pension Credit /Job Seekers or Income Support

· Full-time students

· Under 18 This may be extended to Under-25s for some events.

Proof of eligibility for concessionary rate will be checked when purchasing/ or at the event. Please bring necessary evidence with you.

Our tickets are sold using third-party platforms, primarily Spektrix. As part of the customer journey on our website you will be transferred to the relevant platform. Payments are processed by Elavon/Opayo. Use of our ticketing platforms signifies your agreement to their terms and conditions of use. You can see Spektrix terms of use on the Spektrix website.

Tickets are valid for the date specified. It is your responsibility to check your tickets as mistakes cannot always be rectified.

Please bring your ticket with you – hard copy or digital versions are accepted.

We reserve the right to make changes to advertised programme.

Tickets must not be resold for profit or commercial gain.

Events/ Cinema

To avoid disruption to other visitors, latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable point in an event. For cinema screenings, latecomers will generally not be admitted and in such a scenario a refund will not be offered. We aim to start the main feature at 2 minutess past the advertised start time.

Mobile phones must be switched off or in silent mode during events/screenings. You must not use phones during the screening.

It is a serious criminal offence to copy or attempt to copy any film or other copyright material exhibited in any part of the cinema. You are not permitted to bring cameras and/or recording equipment of any kind into the auditorium.

Cinema Age Restrictions:

Entry to films and events is restricted by the classification given by the British Board of Film Classification or others. We are required to refuse admission to anyone who is below the minimum age required by the relevant classification:

Anyone can be admitted to films classified as U or PG. It is recommended that only those aged 8 or over should attend a PG classified film.

Children under 12 can be admitted to films classified as 12A but only if accompanied by an adult (i.e. someone over the age of 18).

Nobody under the age of 15 can be admitted to films classified as 15.

Nobody under the age of 18 can be admitted to films classified as 18.

We reserve the right to require you to prove your age with appropriate photographic ID if you are attending a 12A, 15 or 18 film screening. If you are unable to prove your age you will be not be able to watch the film.

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Babies under the age of one are not permitted into our film screenings, except to designated ‘family films’ and our special ‘school run screenings’. Tickets must be purchased for children over the age of 1 attending these screenings.

Only food and drink purchased at Towner can be consumed in our cinema.
