The Elephant in the Room was a temporary installation in a vacant shop space on Terminus Road in Eastbourne. 10 artist members of the Arts in Mind group took part showing a mix of painting, collage, sculpture, animation, slides and installation. This was an opportunity to create a collaborative display of individual art practices alongside each other, and for the group members to talk to members of the public about their work.

The space was open for four days and was hosted by Ella Hempsted and Michaela Ross who facilitate the group alongside group members:

Over 200 people visited including friends and passers-by. Everyone was invited to make badges made by collaging images of the works on display.

The project was supported by SMG who helped the group secure this space to show their work.
