Wriggle Room is a two-year artist residency developed for under-5s and their carers. Visual and Performance artists Katy Beinart and Lydia Hunt design and lead creative sessions every Tuesday during term time. Working from two alternating venues: Willingdon Trees Community Centre and Towner Eastbourne, Katy and Lydia develop activities with Early Years groups and their carers across Eastbourne.
Activities and workshops are developed collaboratively with participants and partners. The project explores connection to the natural environment around Eastbourne and East Sussex and ways of engaging with Towner Eastbourne’s collection and exhibition programme.
This two-year residency will relaunch Towner Eastbourne’s Early Years programme, taking us into Spring 2024.
