Wriggle Room in the South Downs National Park
In celebration of our early years programme, Wriggle Room, we’ve released this at home (and in-nature) resource. Developed by Lead Artists Katy Beinart and Lydia Hunt.
Taking inspiration from the places we’ve visited, the things we’ve made and the stories we’ve told, this resource will support you and your under-5s to explore the South Downs National Park in a child-led, playful way.
Explore the sounds, sights, movements and textures of our regional landscapes by visiting these free places or have a go at some crafts with materials you find around the home.
With backgrounds in community engagement, visual arts, performance and inclusive practice, Katy and Lydia have worked with Towner and Willingdon Trees Community Centre to deliver weekly workshops for under-5s and their caregivers since 2022. We’re celebrating their time as Lead Artists with this resource developed by Katy, Lydia and Towner’s Learning team, with support from the team at Willingdon Trees and all our participants who’ve joined us over the past two years.
