Eastbourne Studio Pottery is inviting local groups to take part in artist-led workshops between November 2023 and May 2024. OF CONFLUENCE emerges as an ensemble of animations, sound and sculpture exploring the arterial route of a tidal river, namely the river Rother. In conceiving the work, Wilson was drawn to the subsequent bulges, spillages and blockages forming vast salt marshes creating transitions between land and sea. 

Love, Empathy, Respect, Dignity is a newly commissioned public artwork by Nadina Ali, in collaboration with Devonshire Youth Collective and Sanctuary. Commissioned by Devonshire Collective in partnership with Eastbourne ALIVE, in celebration of the Turner Prize 2023.

Three meditation pods have been created by young people aged 16 to 24 and placed in East Sussex libraries where visitors can enjoy a reflective moment.

Exhibition curated by Compass Arts, revealing new and different perspectives through the eyes of neurodivergent artists.   

Inspired by three days of experiential cross-arts collaboration hosted by Towner Eastbourne, lead artist Phoene Cave proposed transitioning these collective improvisations into the public facing non-gallery spaces during the Turner Prize 2023. These act as a response to Eastbourne ALIVE and East Sussex Art Partnership question of “Is it Art?”.

To celebrate the Turner Prize 2023 exhibition, special edition prints from King & McGaw’s Turner Prize Edit are on display at Port Hotel.
