Eastbourne Studio Pottery presents an exhibition of over 500 plates as a result of 35 free artist-led plate-making workshops for 60 local groups, which took place between November 2023 and May 2024.

Each workshop saw six people from two different community, arts, health, or education-focused groups, plus independent businesses in the local area create together as a catalyst for conversation and the cross-fertilisation of ideas.

Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and East Sussex Arts Partnership forming part of Eastbourne ALIVE, participants made plates using a wide variety of techniques, not all restricted to traditional ceramics processes, guided by 15 visiting artists and Eastbourne Studio Pottery team.
