Brewers Towner International Exhibition Tours with Lucy
2.00pm, free drop-in
Friday 18 November
Join one of the many characters created by prolific multidisciplinary artist Lucy for a look at Brewers Towner International from a different perspective.
For this Exhibition Tour, Lucy will be appearing as Rawhide: "He is inspired by the original Wombles of Wimbledon Common. He is a cowboy Womble, hence the cowboy hat and waistcoat. He is happy and friendly and likes helping people. He is new character so looking forward to his first appearance."
Lucy is a prolific multi-talented artist and musician, and her work spans across a wide range of media and genres, including music, performance, comics and short stories. Experiencing the immersive worlds that Lucy creates and the characters that inhabit them can allow audiences to see things differently, drop inhibitions and understand more about themselves and how we connect with each other.
The common factor in Lucy’s practice is a love of animals, and in this event, Lucy will appear as one of her original animal character creations, for which she has handmade the costume. Some of Lucy’s characters have been seen giving guided gallery tours at the De La Warr Pavilion, MK Gallery and the Turner Prize exhibition 2021.
Lucy has been a member of Delta 7 since 2014 and volunteered with the Towner Gallery for many years.
Lucy is part of the Project Art Works collective, a supported studio based in Hastings.
