Learn about the ancient art of goldwork embroidery with artist Andrea Mindel and make your own goldwork brooch.
The workshop will include Andrea leading you through an introductory goldwork technique, allowing you to design and create your own original goldwork brooch.
As well as being an artist, Andrea is one of the curators of the Towner exhibition Cruising the Collection, where you can see the work of mysterious Eastbourne painter Margaret Benecke.
Throughout the class, you’ll be able to draw inspiration from Benecke’s work in your brooch design.
This class is suitable for beginners or those already working in goldwork embroidery. All materials are provided.
