Lunchtime Conversation: Ravilious’ style, technique and conservation
Saturday 5 August 2023, 1.30pm
Free, drop-in
This event is part of Lunchtime Responses: a series of events where we invite you to hear new perspectives, unique takes and personal stories about the varied works on display at the gallery.
Join Towner conservator, Corinne Farmer, for a 20-minute discussion about the care and conservation of works by Eric Ravilious in the exhibition The Living Collection.
Ravilious’ watercolours demonstrate how he used many different layers of media in his works.
Corinne’s conservation investigations over many years have led to a greater understanding of his technique and how to care for these delicate works. She will discuss her findings arising from working with Ravilious material.
During the talk you’ll be able to ask questions.
This is a drop-in, free event for all.
Meet inside Gallery 1 on the first floor.
