This event is part of Lunchtime Responses: a series of events where members of the Towner team invite you to hear new perspectives, unique takes and personal stories about the varied works on display at the gallery.
Join Towner’s Christian Bergmann for a sound and gesture session responding to Ghislaine Leung’s Turner Prize exhibition.
We will explore together different sounds and movements inspired by what you see, hear and feel in the exhibition space in a fun and interactive way.
Explorations will be guided by simple instructions created by Christian – a technique which responds to Ghislaine’s methods of creating the work in the space.
You are welcome to actively participate, or just observe and listen.
Meet inside the Welcome Space on the ground floor.
Christian has been part of the Towner Front of House team since March 2020. When not at Towner, he is often found on Eastbourne beach, walking, resting, taking photos and video shorts. He is very interested in the interplay of spontaneous movement and stillness, both in nature and in human expression.
Some of his visuals can be seen on Instagram: @chrisjbergm
We have a budget available to make this event as accessible as possible – this can include interpretation services or other access needs we can meet to enable you to participate.
