2020-2021 was a challenging year for us all but there were some brilliant and joyful moments at Towner Eastbourne. 

From our Creative Kit Bags which reached hundreds of community members across Sussex, to being named Museum of the Year, there was lots happening within our gallery walls, and across the town and beyond. 

 We welcomed new members to the Towner team, established creative partnerships, and explored possibilities for reaching new audiences through a lively new strand of digital activity and expanded content. 

 When we could, we also welcomed many of you to see our range of exhibitions ‘in real life’ from our inaugural contemporary art biennial, Towner International, and a blockbuster show of works by Alan Davie and David Hockney, to an exhibition curated by artists Christine and Jennifer Binnie from the Towner Collection.
