Blue Monkey Network: Changemaking in the Arts

Joanna Myles, Director of Sussex Contemporary, is an artist and a collaborator with a number of major art organisations in Sussex. Jo will be joining us to talk about her experiences and observations of working both within the sector and outside it as a solo practitioner. She'll discuss what led her to create Sussex Contemporary and how her roles with Ditchling Museum and the University of Brighton are helping change the landscape of creative opportunities for living artists and makers. She will cover open calls and share some insider insights on applications.

The ground floor cafe will be open from 6.00pm to 6.30pm before the event and you are welcome to bring drinks up to Studio 3.

This talk is free for Blue Monkey Network members and £5 to non members. All welcome, tickets available on the door.

Supported by Towner Eastbourne, who host most of the events, Blue Monkey Network runs regular monthly events aimed at promoting the exchange of ideas, information, and knowledge between artists, curators, and arts organisations.
