Towner’s Collection includes a number of watercolours and sketches by the landscape artist James Owen. Owen specialized in capturing the coastal charm, rolling scenery, and town life of Eastbourne, the South Downs, and surrounding Sussex areas. In this Illustrated talk, Russell Owen, great-great grandson of the artist, will delve into family history to reveal more about the artist, his life and his inspirations.
The talk will be followed by a visit into Towner Art Store to see some of the works in person.
