Poets Respond to Comrades in Art! LIVE Reading on Wedensday 7 October
Inspired by the social purpose that drove the AIA’s work, and aware of some uncomfortable parallels in the rise of the extremism today, six poets have come together to respond to work in the Comrades in Art Exhibition.
Antony Mair, Catherine Sweeney, Colin Dixon, Joanna Lowry, John White and Judith Shaw, all from East Sussex, will read poems that respond in a variety of different ways – some to particular pictures, some to particular artists and stories.
The reading will take place in the Gallery at 3.45pm on Wednesday 7 October after the final Comrades in Art! Talk.
Please feel free to visit the exhibition afterwards - your ticket will grant you free entry.
