Eastbourne Heritage Collections
Open Store

Over the past few months, Towner has been busy relocating Eastbourne Borough Council’s Heritage Collections to a new dedicated storage facility. We’re delighted to welcome you to our first Heritage Open Day, where we’ll be opening the doors to the store for the very first time. 

Members of the Towner team who helped with the move will be on hand to share stories from the project and explain what it takes to relocate a heritage collection. 

You’ll also have the chance to get up close to some of the wonderful objects that belong to the people of Eastbourne. From intriguing curios to hidden gems, discover the stories behind the collection and learn how Towner cares for it, on behalf of Eastbourne Borough Council.

Heritage Open Days is an annual celebration of England's history and culture that allows visitors free access to heritage sites and community events that are either not usually open to the public, would normally charge an entrance fee, or that are putting on something special for the festival.
