Join one of Towner's Visitor Engagement Team Leaders, Caitlin Yapp, for a 20-minute close look at Alexander Calder’s wire sculpture Maquette for a Mobile, 1938-39.
Caitlin will guide you through the motive behind Calder’s mobiles and reasons behind their motion.

Caitlin Yapp MA, MSc, PGCE
Caitlin has worked at Towner Eastbourne since 2014. She has a particular interest in early to mid-20th century British Art, particularly Eric Ravilious, Edward Bawden and Tirzah Garwood. She also works as a Consultant Headteacher, and as a Safeguarding Consultant.
