Join one of Towner's Visitor Engagement Team Leaders, Caitlin Yapp, for a 20-minute close look at two works in Sussex Modernism: The Long Man of Wilmington by Eric Ravilious and Alfriston (design for lorry bill for Shell) by Vanessa Bell.
Caitlin will guide you in viewing the works, which were inspired by locations very close to each other (just two miles in separation), but that stylistically are very different.
This is a drop-in event for all with an exhibition ticket. You can book an exhibition ticket online or purchase on the day at the front desk.

Caitlin Yapp MA, MSc, PGCE
Caitlin has worked at Towner Eastbourne since 2014. She has a particular interest in early to mid-20th century British Art, particularly Eric Ravilious, Edward Bawden and Tirzah Garwood. She also works as a Consultant Headteacher, and as a Safeguarding Consultant.
