Join staff member Alison Hayes to discuss elements of Cecilia Fiona's sculptural installation Spirals Gathering, Time Breathing. 

In this session we will spend time discovering the abstract and figurative elements within the work and share our thoughts about what they mean to us, considering questions such as: 

Can abstract forms lead us into unchartered yet collective memory, emotions and realisations?  

How do we interpret recognisable motifs and features?  

And if myths shape social behaviour, how could this artwork inspire us to act?  

All welcome - this is a drop-in, free event for all.

Alison currently works at Towner and studied Fine Art Sculpture at Brighton University where she made objects, films and installations that echoed her fascination with light, space and where art meets 'the viewer'. She has a particular interest in making connections and collaborating through art, conversation and creativity. Her work and ideas can be seen at @inkyskipper.bsky.social
