The Ravilious Collection (First Floor)
Join Towner staff member Alison Hayes for a relaxed discussion and playful collage activity in The Ravilious Collection.
We will look at the layered, spontaneous collages of John Piper and the measured, contained prints of Eric Ravilious. Taking inspiration from these artists, along with the cooperative nature of the artists on show, we will explore our own interpretations of landscape through the medium of paper, pattern and chance!
While collaging, we will reflect on questions such as: what are the things we discover from each other while engaging in art spaces, and what can we learn about ourselves and the wider world when we create artworks together?
All welcome - this is a drop-in, free event for all.
Meet inside the Ravilious Collection
