Join Ella Ravilious (V&A curator and granddaughter of Eric Ravilious and Tirzah Garwood) along with Turner curator Ian Warrell in a discussion focusing on the watercolours of Ravilious and J.M.W. Turner. Hosted by Towner’s Head of Collections and Exhibitions Sara Cooper. There will be time for audience questions at the end.
This event has been programmed alongside our autumn exhibitions: Impressions in Watercolour: J. M. W. Turner and his Contemporaries and The Ravilious Collection, a new permanent display of works by Eric Ravilious and his contemporaries.

About Sara Cooper
Sara Cooper is Head of Collections and Exhibitions at Towner Eastbourne, where she is responsible for the exhibition programme and for the permanent collection, including overseeing acquisitions.
About Ella Ravilious
Ella Ravilious is Curator: Architecture and Design in the Art, Architecture, Photography and Design Department at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Ella is the granddaughter of Eric Ravilious and Tirzah Garwood. She is the author of Eric Ravilious: Landscapes and Nature, published by Thames and Hudson/V&A in 2023.
About Ian Warrell
Ian Warrell is an independent art historian specialising in British art of the 19th Century. He was a curator at Tate Britain for more than 25 years and is a leading authority on the life and work of Turner.
