What is The Bavard Bar? Well, it has become an institution. The best way to describe it is a delightful blend of TED Talks, comedy, & Radio 4. Sort of...
Three regular people share their passions for 15 minutes each during an evening of non-stop intrigue. With subjects ranging from meteorite hunting to crop-circles, circuit-bending or playing the James Bond theme on Kazoo, you never know what (or who) to expect, as passions (and speakers) are kept secret until the night.
The fun continues with an open Q&A after each talk for you to share your own expert opinions. Not one but two intervals allow you to grab a drink at the bar and keep conversation flowing.

Past speakers have included Robin Ince, Professor Simon Schaffer, Dr Ljiljana Fruk, Cole Moreton and David Bramwell.
