Winter of the Crow

Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread, Another Year) gives a mesmerising performance alongside Tom Burke (Strike, Black Bag) in this gripping Soviet-era thriller based on a short story by Nobel Prize-winning author Olga Tokarczuk (Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead).

Warsaw, 1981. British academic Joan Andrews (Manville) is visiting a Polish university when a violent political protest erupts. Caught up in the chaos, she witnesses a brutal murder by the secret police, capturing the evidence on her Polaroid camera. Trapped behind the Iron Curtain, she is thrust into a deadly game of espionage between student rebels and government operatives, where no one can be trusted and the consequences could spiral into World War III.
