Wriggle Room is going offsite!

We're off for our seasonal adventures into the landscape on Tuesday 3 November, join us for our usual crafting activities exploring crafts, story time and a light snack with our new artist Ella and volunteers from Willingdon Trees Community Centre as enjoy the changing of the seasons before heading inside for the colder weather.

Free, ticket required.

There will be no session at Towner or Willingdon Trees Community Centre on this date.

Wriggle Room is Towner's free drop-in programme for under-5s and their caregivers on selected Tuesdays during termtime. Our fun and creative sessions are developed by our new Lead Artist Ella Hempsted and Towner’s Learning team, building on a three-year early years’ partnership with Willingdon Trees Community Centre.

Caregivers must book a free ticket for this session, please book one ticket per person for you and your child/ren.

This trip is taking place in and outdoors with some uneven ground and potentially wet conditions please consider this and dress appropriately for the weather and wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy!

We have organised a minibus for families who need support getting to/from this session - please get in touch with Mollie if you'd like to join the minibus. (mollie.howells@townereastbourne.org.uk). If you're taking the minibus please note that we can not provide carseats. It is at the caregiver's discretion and responsibility to ensure the safety of their child when travelling via minibus and adhere to government guidance.

We will not have a space to store buggies during this visit, space in the minibus will be limited, you may be asked to store buggies at the community centre or Towner

We will be providing snacks on this trip, please let Mollie know in advance if you or your child have any allergies or dietry requirements.

Ella Hempsted is a multi-disciplinary artist educator based in Brighton. Ella’s approach to making and facilitating is always process driven. Her interests lie in the investigation and experimentation of the potential of materials. Her chosen materials are usually found or collected, saved from being waste to be repurposed and reimagined. This way of working has led to a playful approach to making. There is always space left for the unexpected, learning through doing is prioritised, and a focus is placed on process over outcomes.
