Lunchtime Response to Nigel Hall's Gravity/ Levity
Thursday 2 January, 1.30pm
Devonshire Plaza. Free, drop-in
Towner staff member and artist Alison Hayes will explore the Nigel Hall work Gravity/Levity that you can see outside Towner’s entrance on the plaza, using it as a catalyst to open up a wider discussion about public artworks. For example, does placing artworks in an outside public environment make them resonate differently to those inside a gallery? Do they inspire more engagement?
This will be an open-ended discussion where you are invited to actively take part, put forward your views and questions, or just observe and listen.
Please dress warmly as part of the talk will take place outside.
Please meet in Towner's Welcome Area.
