For Towner’s first Turner Prize Friday Late* of 2024, Poetry Café Eastbourne will be at Towner Eastbourne for an evening of poetry composed in response to the artworks of Turner Prize artists Jesse Darling, Barbara Walker, Rory Pilgrim and Ghislaine Leung.
Poets from the Poetry Café Eastbourne community will perform their work live alongside the Turner Prize exhibitions across the gallery.
Each of the poetry sessions will last approximately fifteen minutes and will be the first time these works will be performed, each piece created specifically for this event. There will be some time for audience responses too.
We hope that you will join us for what promises to be an enjoyable and unique way to experience both the exhibitions and the poetry.
*Towner is open until 8.00pm every first Friday of the month, giving you a chance to browse the Turner Prize exhibition after hours
