Join staff member Alison Hayes to explore and discuss two works from our new acquisitions show.
Mirroring the title of the exhibition Points of View, we will share our thoughts and responses to the sculptural works of Anne Hardy and Alicja Kwade.
Is there a difference between how we interact with a free-standing artwork or one on the wall? Do the works help us discover more questions than answers? For example, what defines sculpture? Is there a thread weaving between the two works? And can all artworks cast some kind of spell?
All welcome - this is a drop-in, free event for all.

About Alison Hayes
Alison currently works at Towner and studied Fine Art Sculpture at Brighton University where she made objects, films and installations that reflected her fascination with light, space, the viewer and the blurred boundaries between different mediums and disciplines.
This May she will be exhibiting in an Artists' Open House during Brighton Festival using the name Inkyskipper and has previously made site specific work in Artwave festival and other group shows. She is intrigued by collage, drawing, sculpture and interventions in the public realm and passionate about making connections with others through art.
