With a multidisciplinary approach, Aimee Lyon, Connie Ashford and Luka Shaxson will collectively and creatively reflect upon Points of View. Through a performative collaboration, they will interweave the emotional, playful and intellectual impact of the inspiration ignited within them by the artworks on display.
Expect elements of performance, poetry and non-fiction layered together to explore ideations of space, place, landscape, materiality, illusions, memory and childhood. What are the stories we tell ourselves to make life make sense and what happens when we dare to question those stories?
By amalgamating their respective skill sets and individual interests, Aimee, Connie and Luka will respond to Points of View in such a way that could not be achieved independently. They hope their choice to collaborate will reflect the value that can often be added when disparate styles of art are positioned in proximity and therefore placed in dialogue, just like those brought together in Points of View.
